School was cancelled today so the girls and I were able to enjoy the day in the snow. We started our morning off with a walk through the trails. I really love walking through the trials after it snows. It's fun to duck under the tree branches that are hanging over the trails from the wet heavy snow. The girls ran ahead and repeatedly threw snowballs at me. We ended up running into our friends Daniel, Michael and Trisha at the school. While Trisha and I visited the kids ran around the school field and built a snowman.
We all got cold and decided to head in around Noon. We had to dry off, warm up and eat lunch before we headed outside again. We had forgotten to bring our sled along with us in the morning and decided to try to get some sled time in after lunch. The girls had a good time finding just the right sledding spot. Unfortunately most of the good spots were down to the grass. Yet, we were still able to find a few places that gave them a good run. It was so fun to watch them enjoy their snow day. We don't get them very often here on the West side of the mountains.
