Not the Greatest Park

So, we have come to a cross-roads in our lives where I have one child who still enjoys playing at a playground and the other thinks she's "Too old, " to be playing on one. Thus, it's been difficult to find an outdoor place that we all enjoy. Yesterday we enjoyed the Wetlands as it has a combination of both playground and nature park all wrapped up in one.

Anyway, I checked out a few parks on-line and we went to Cady Park. It's right on the Snohomish River so I figured we'd have a good time. Well, turns out, there were a few not so welcoming looking folks hanging out there, the beach was pure mud and there was nothing to look at. Emily even got stuck in the mud and then almost fell into the river while cleaning the mud off her shoes.

We ended up heading to the library instead. Then mean Mom made them clean the house with me. . . . :-)

Oh well, at least we checked it out and know we'll have to do more searching for better nature parks.
