New School Year Starts!

The new school year is finally here! As of last week we didn't have a start date because the teachers had yet to sign a contract. Thankfully, by Wednesday they had come to an agreement.

Katelyn's registration was last Tuesday. She had a great time meeting up with her friends. She was very happy to get the Block teacher she wanted and to have most of her friends in all of her classes.

Emily's Open House was yesterday evening. We had a good time meeting Mrs. Miller and getting to see who was in her class. She's happy that most of her friends are in her class and excited to have Mrs. Miller as a teacher. We had a good time meeting up with everyone and checking in on past teachers like Mrs. Sanders and Mrs. Moon.

As of 7:30 a.m. Katelyn is off and waiting at the bus stop. She had some grumbly moments while I took pictures but I guess that's to be expected since she is a 7th Grader now :-)

As of 9:20 a.m. Em is now at school. She will be the one that will become more independent at an earlier age as she was a bit ticked off that I came into the school with her to take photos. Then she hardly said good-bye because she was so upset I was there. Guess she only has to put up with it for one more year.
