Poem Homework

Tonight Emily had to practice reading poems out of her poem folder. Here are the three poems she chose to read to me:

November

In November's
gust gale
I will flop
my flippy tail
and spout hot soup.
I'll be a whale!
Spouting once
spouting twice
spouting chicken soup
with rice


I Would Like to Have a Pet

I would like to have a pet
any kind at all
something big,
something small,
something sleeping in the hall
would be just fine.
I would like to have a pet
Will you be mine?

I made myself a snowball,
as perfect as could be,
I thought I'd keep it as a pet,
And let it sleep with me.

I made it some pajamas,
And a pillow for its head,
Then last night it ran away,
But first it wet the bed.
