Bob Heirman Wildlife Preserve

This afternoon I decided that the girls needed to get out for some fresh air. The weather has been rainy most of the month and we haven't had too much time to get outside. After a long morning of Katelyn doing homework we headed out to Bob Heirman Wildlife Preserve to see what adventures awaited us.

The girls enjoyed looking at all the trees filled with moss and ferns. Most of the trees looked like a giant scooped up a bunch of dry grass an threw it onto them. We enjoyed hiking around the lake, finding walking sticks, finding a bird's nest, listening to the different birds sing as well as the frogs croaking. We also enjoyed throwing rocks down into the Snohomish River.

Katelyn had a good time taking her own photos but Emily chose to stop taking pictures after only one shot and instead explored around the mud puddles stirring up the mud.

Afterwards we headed to McPukies for some shakes.
