Codey's Commemoration

This afternoon the Fifth Graders at Silver Firs Elementary held a commemoration service for their fellow student, Codey. Katelyn's class played a short piece of music Codey wrote called, "Noodles of Joy" during the ceremony. They also planted a tree that has red bark in his honor. The students and staff spent some time telling about what their favorite memory of Codey was and hanging their memory cards on the tree.

It was a nice way to say good-bye to their dear friend and find closure before the school year ended.
