This month Katelyn's class is studying the Civil War. The class is split up into the Confederacy and Union armies. They will be doing a simulation of civilian and soldier life during the American Civil War from 1861-1865. Katelyn was assigned the name James St. Julian Longstreet. He is 29-years-old and is married to Rose and has a child. He also serves under General Lee.
They are required to make a uniform and armband. I had to go out today and find a grey coat and found a wonderful blazer that works perfectly. Katelyn made a shoulder patch, medal and sash.
