New Friends

Did you know that we hit an all time record today? Temperatures rose to 103° here in the Seattle area. It was down right miserable. I know, you're thinking that we here in the PNW can't make up our minds. When it snows we beg for hot weather. When it's hot we beg for cooler temperatures. Seriously, 103° is way too hot for those of us who aren't use to it.

Us girls decided to take it easy again today. My plan was to go shopping and try to stay in stores all day long. But those plans changed when I got a call from my mother. Their church has a missionary family visiting them and today they were coming to my parent's house for a BBQ. My parents wanted to know if we'd come and join them so that the kids could have someone to hang out with. It was the best move of the day!

Ted and Rosette Kayser are missionaries that are supported by my parent's church. They are here discussing their future plans to work in Uganda. They have two children. Stephen is 12-year-old and Sanyu is 9-years-old. Both have been raised in Africa most of their lives.

At first the Jones and Kayser kids were a bit shy but once they discovered a mutual liking for Pokemon all walls came down and they were the best of friends.
