The Evergreen State Fair

This afternoon after church we decided to take the girls to the Evergreen State Fair. Yes, it's a sad truth that we not only failed our kids by not introducing them to Dairy Queen Blizzards but they've never been to a fair. OK, so that's not entirely true as Katelyn went to the county fair with Nana once but she doesn't remember going.

We enjoyed looking at all the exhibits full of beautiful quilts, cross-stitching, art work, photography and cakes. It was fun to wonder around the animals seeing the chickens, roosters, pigs, sheep, lambs, bunnies and goats.

Part of the way through we stopped for some good old fair food and watched an Aztec Indian group perform a few of their dances for us.
