Family Camp - Day 2

Today was action packed! We started the day out with our annual New Hope Christian Church Mini-Golf Tournament. Eric and Katelyn were a team and Emily I were a team. Em named us the Glitter Dragons. Although neither team won we did have a great time.

After a quick lunch the girls and Eric took off to climb the 40 foot climbing tower. They all did a great job. Emily got up about 15 feet on both sides. She was really nervous about it but was up to the challenge. Katelyn made it to the top of both sides!!! We are so proud of how well they did! And yes, Eric too did a great job.

Unfortunately, the day ended on a rainy note. Right as we set up for the potluck dinner it began to rain. With no shelter we had to stand under a bunch of trees holding soggy paper plates full of soggy wet food, good food but soggy.

Us Jones girls were a bit on the crabby side as we're not use to camping in the rain. Our tent had a few leaks but after Eric bought more tarps and strung a large one over our tent we were fine. We waited out the evening under other tarps near camp fires. Most of us headed to the main lodge and played games for the rest of the night. The rain let up in time for us to see a beautiful sunset.
