Day 1 at the Ocean

Today we are vacationing in Seabrook, WA with Grandpa Mike and Grandma Vel. The ride down was pleasant and uneventful. The weather here is BEAUTIFUL! Cold and windy but the sky is blue and the sun is shinning. We came down to Seabrook almost sight unseen and decided that it looked pretty nice from the website. Seabrook is a new little town that is in the beginning stages of development. So far the city park and a few blocks of cottages are build but nothing else. The cottage is peaceful and very nice. We have our own hot tub which we used this evening.

The beach is a short walk from our cottage, across the highway and down through the woods. It's mostly sand and not crowded. The girls were able to find a few seashells and sand dollars. I found some drift wood that was rounded from the waves and wind.

Now we are going to bed to the sound of frogs croaking and the ocean roaring in the distance.
